Dr .N.Mini Raj is former Dean,College of Agriculture, Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur. Acquiring her PhD in Horticulture, she served as Professor & Head of the Dept.Of Spices & Plantation Crops at Kerala Agricultural University. She has guided 13 Post graduate and five PhD students in Spice crops. Dr.Mini Raj is recipient of several awards including the prestigious Jawahar Lal Nehru Fellowship for Doctoral studies,Young Scientist award of Kerala Science Congress and the best Research award of Kerala Agricultural University.She has to her credit 44 research papers published in peer reviewed journals.Dr.Mini Raj has handled several research and Development projects in Spce crops including the MI DH project on Spice crops and the Technology Mission on Black pepper. She is the Principal Breeder of five nutmeg varieties released by KAU. She has authored a book on SPICES and contributed 5 chapters on various Spice crops in the recently published books by Springer.

At present she works as Consultant, State Medicinal Plants Board , Kerala and The Directorate of Arecanut & Spices Development, Govt.of India
